Created this for a flyer promoting the concert 'Pick Up The Mic, Break Down The Walls!" as part of the NY Israeli Apartheid Week.

The image is a reappropriated NY Times photo, the calligraphy is hand written.

If you wanna see some of the freshest most inspiring calligraphy ever, click here and here, the latter of which I had the honor to study under, tho only for about two weeks, and honestly I was like his worst student ever. But he was perhaps the most peaceful, patient, and anal-retentive teacher I've had, yet he taught me so much about arabic calligraphy and design in general during those two little weeks, concepts I'm still grappling with two years later.
